6 handed $2.25 sit n go.
Heads up between myself and snooty

I had been ahead, but in a hand where we were trying to muscle each other around, he had my KT dominated and doubled up.

This was 8 hands later, and I had stopped being ultra aggressive pre flop.

It was my Small Blind, I had 3590 after the 80 blind, and he had 5170 after paying his 160.
I held AA so I called.
The pot is 320, he checks.
The flop was 894, rainbow.
He bets 320, and I assume he has hit. If he is betting a draw, I dont want him to take it cheap.

I raise to 1280 and he goes all in for 5K
I call and he shows Q8, hitting second pair.
He has 5 outs to improve.

The turn is an 8, leaving me all but dead. I had two outs to improve.

The river is an ace, giving me aces full of 8s.

:D
I steam rolled him after that hand.

The setup:
27 seat $1.25 sit n go.
I have folded my first 24 hands.
In the small blind, I call a pot raise from the cutoff player.
I have 55, the flop comes 854 - I hit a set. We checked the flop, I min bet the turn - a 4 that gave me a full house, he called. I pushed the river, he folded. (I attempted to make it look like a desperation bluff. He thought long and hard before folding.)

I folded the next six hands, and stole two of the next three on the flop.

Then I limp in on the cutoff with 22.
A min raise from small blind is too cheap, so I call.
The flop comes 8J2, all hearts. He checks, I pot bet, he pushes all in.
I figure I have 9 outs for a full house. I call and he shows AA, with the Ah. No more hearts, so I win.

In the next 7 hands, I win two. The first was an opening pot raise from middle position to which I got no callers. I had KTo - I was using the momentum of my last win to steal.

The next hand was in my small blind, when I had AA, and I reraised a raiser. He felt I was just pushing back so pushed all in with QJ suited.
He commended my play when he lost.

three hands after that, I was under the gun. (Yes, we had a short table.)
I was under the gun with pocket 2.
I almost limped.
However, I didn't want to limp under the gun, because I could not call out of position to a raise.
As it turned out, I could have limped in, as the action was not raised.
I could have raised, I guess. I chose not to - as my 22 had won earlier with luck. I didn't feel it would hold up again.

But the flop came 2Q2 - I would have flopped quads.
Gutted, I would have won a decent pot and set myself up nicely for final table.

While I feel that all my winning hands so far had been pure luck (hence this thread) I also feel that I played them well to maximise my return.

This went to hell on the final table.

My first mistake was with 99.
I was on the button, and five people limped in - including myself, small and big blind.
The flop came 77T and my second mistake was calling the min bet, min raise on the flop.
My third mistake was calling the all in bet / call on the river.
I knew that on a 77TK7 board, my 99 was beaten. I just felt too sticky to my hand. 77799 seems good when considered in isolation. But the play told me to fold, and my finger clicked call.

The biggest factor in this decision was that if I lost, I still had enough chips to remain in 5th position.
I should have saved that 1200.

Two hands later, I lost another hand for 515 but at least I played this one correctly.
Under the gun, short stack pushed all in for 515, when it got to me I pushed all in with 88. No other callers, he showed AJ but he hit the Jack.

I folded quite a few more hands after that, until in the button I limped in with Ac3c.
The flop was A87 (no clubs), and I called the min bet. Then we both checked the flop, and with the river an Ace, I called the all in bet, and my trip aces lost to trip aces with a Jack kicker.

No actual bad beats in this story I guess.
Just sharing my plays in the last tourney.

I beat a player.
I was second to act and had AcKc.
Under the gun went all in. I reraised all in to isolate.
He showed Ah4c
The flop was almost the worst imaginable.
6d 8h 4h

The turn was Qc
The river was Ks
Go me!

How very refreshing it is to actually see that someone really gets it!
i totally know exactly where you are coming from 100 percent!
i am a 46 year old man and a lifelong diehard metalhead!
and that being the case have endured the stereo types my whole life!
the thing is,the way ive dealt with it is not really caring that alot of ppl dont understand why im a fan of metal, and just simply pass it off as their opinion that they are entitled to and in most cases if they are closed minded about it which i am not about any kind of music regardless of my preferrence i just consider them to be the ones that have the problem by being closed minded!
and sadly enough i have found tha most ppl that dont get metal are very closed minded about it!
thats why i have decided to start a blog that focusses on sharing my 35 plus years of being a metalhead to share my experience and knowledge of heavy metal and the profound impact it has had on my life with all that will lend an ear!
it's my way of carrying the metal flag and passing it on to the younger generation in hopes that there will be a bright future for metal long after im gone.
because,as you know fellow metalhead although metal history is a very rich and proud one,the future is very bleak!
this is just my small way of insuring that it even has a future.
feel free to followup and stop by my blog anytime, its not quite up yet,it being my first blog and i want to make absolutely certain it is done right so im taking my time.
but still you are always welcome anytime regardless so keep the metal faith.
tyvm
sincerely.

Vet told me to give them chicken necks. I did this. It was quite *interesting*!!

Thundercat growled at his. Constantly, and fiercely!
Enough to spook his brother from chewing his, if it was too close.

Thundercat only chewed his lightly, so there was plenty left by the time Ninja devoured his. As soon as Thunder stopped playing with his, Ninja ate it also.

Which is strange, because now Thundercat is the one chasing and eating flies, cockroaches and beetles.

As for the toiletries, we've been blocking them from the bedroom. Solved for the moment.

Talk to your vet. They may have some suggestions about dealing with the chewing and the pooing.

Dragon actions:
Originally, I was just going to offer a range of attack options, such as "Bite", "breath", "tail sweep", or "claw attack x2" or "claw and half sweep" allowing up to a 90 degree turn.

So then, they could choose which direction gets affected, and by which attack. The breath would be strongest in one single corridor, but have no effect at close range, and be half damage to someone with a large shield (or better)

The double claw would be two of the same or separate targets both in front of the dragon.
The tail sweep would be less damage but all targets behind, and the half sweep would be one single target behind (creating a two direction attack).

The bite would be a large damage close range attack to a single target, allowing a target to be devoured.

However, I could include all of these, or more, including a wing buffet, in cards.

Then I can change the variance so that a breath weapon can't be used every turn, but claw attacks are in abundance.
I could allow still allow a player to turn the dragon 90 degrees of their choice, and play any one card. If they have no card to play, they may utilise the double claw option.

Dragon option cards, in this manner, would be mixed within the character action cards, so that their options might not always suit their needs.
I think a ratio of 1 dragon action to four character actions would be right. In a four player game, it's slightly too many. Otherwise, you should on average have one when you need one.

Character cards could be combat modifiers, or perhaps just actions - such as "defensive mode: -1 speed, +3 armour, +1 attack, -2 search. Discard from play if you move this character."
Another example could be "search alcove: If your search skill is 0-5, draw standard item. 6+ draw magic item"
Note that if a player had been playing ready tokens on this character, it gives them a bonus to their score for this action, and more likely to give them a better reward.

If I like this idea enough, (and I think I do) then - on a player's turn - if he cannot take any further actions and needs to, he must reveal that his hand of cards are only dragon actions, if he has any left, and he misses all further actions, to discard his hand, and draw a new hand to 8 cards. He is allowed to add a ready token to all characters who have not taken an action.

Possible questions:

Can you change your destiny?
Do you always keep your temper under control?
Do you prefer to look at the sky or the ground?
Do you fall in love easily?
Mathematics, English, History, or Science?
Do you believe in fate?
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Do you enjoy many forms of art?
Do you aspire to one day changing the world?
Do you follow your dreams?
Do you speak up about things that are your passion?
Study before party?
Do things happen to you, or do you make things happen?
Logic or instinct?

I wonder if that's enough to determine a sphere of influence.

I didn't mention a couple other personality quirks.

Thundercat, then named Little Kitty, got sick. He was bleeding from the bottom at the toilet. I took him to the vet (they got vaccinations also) and got some medicine, which I had to force kitty to eat. He didn't like it *at all*

He's no longer as affectionate as he used to be, although he still likes to be picked up from time to time. But he has stopped - completely - jumping onto my chair and sitting in my lap while I am at the PC.

Ironically, Big Kitty (now named Ginger Ninja) has become completely affectionate! He jumps up onto my desk so that he can become face high with me, and demands kissies. He likes to rub the side of his face along the side of mine, like an eskimo kiss.

He's very demanding ;)

And they've both started to chew. Ninja chews mainly papers sitting on my desk. Specifically the corners of them. Until he tears off a centimetre wide strip which he'll play with 'til he eats it.
He also dabbles with chewing the soft plastic covering film of an Iron Maiden picture I have on the wall above the stereo. I could take the plastic off, but it has so far done well in preserving the board. There's bits hanging free, which encourages Ninja to paw and claw, until he almost pulls said picture from the wall.

Thundercat, on the other hand, is not fussy what he chews.
Paper? Check. Plastic? Check. Pens? Check. CD covers? Only the limited edition digi-packs or boxed ones. Some of the most intense moments of my life.
He even chews the wooden frame of my Iron Maiden mirror that I have owned for maybe 17 or 18 years now!
He chews my Phil Gordon calendar, anything and everything.

There is a plastic DND Miniature on my desk, of a behir (coloured blue). I used to keep it a little higher off the desk, near the monitor. But Thundercat kept chewing at the tail until it kept falling on him. I stopped putting it back - for the kitten's safety as much as anything - and now both of them use it as a chew toy.

This one I'm happy about, it seems to wear the attacks well.
It should - it's a huge scaly beast with many many hit dice. The kittens are just lucky it hasn't used its breath weapon yet.
